Growing among many other Pine species this being the only example in the Gardens. This tree contains a substantial amount of dead wood. Rare or localised Outstanding size A large old tree, possible 100 years old,still bearing cones. One half of the tree exhibited severe dieback and the tree blew over in a wind squall and was removed in May 1986.
